A Saturday spent in the sun...

What a beautiful day it was for being outside. Today we planted all of our veggies in the garden. We had a little helper that thought it was more fun to remove the dirt and flowers than it was to put them in! Morgan was begging and pleading to be "watered" like the flowers and veggies in the garden, so Jon hosed her down!

I remember as a kid how much I HATED to work out in the garden. Now as an adult I find it rather theraputic. I love to watch things grow and produce yummy foods. It has been fun going to the garden center at Lowe's and having memories of all the beautiful flowers my mom would plant every year. Thanks Mom!

I know that the garden doesn't look like much of anything right now, but check back in a few weeks and you'll be surprised! Jon has got some rhubarb that is looking fabulous. We also have pumpkins, cantaloupe, zucchini, romas, chili peppers, peas, eggplant and a decorative hot pepper plant the produces bright red, orange, yellow and purple peppers.
