The day has finally arrived .... Sydney's poor mouth is SOOO over crowded that she has teeth coming up in places they don't belong. We have been seeing the orthodontist over the past year waiting for enough teeth to come through and for others to fall out. Last week he gave the okay to begin treatment. They took a few impressions and x-rays, let her pick out her expander colors and scheduled us to come back in a week. According to Sydney, "This is the best day of my life!!" Let's see if she is saying that in a day or two. It completely changes the way she speaks, her mouth produces A LOT more saliva, so she is constantly slurping but it will pay off in the end. This part of the treatment lasts for about four months.

We just might have to call her Smurfette...she chose a blue expander with blue sparkles to match her blue eyes!! Don't you just love the new hairdo you leave with after being at the dentist? I love that she is so excited about this process.

That is so funny! Jamison went in today too and was so excited. He wanted to get a retainer on the spot!
