The Feast

This year for Thanksgiving, David and his family came out for a visit. What a joy it has been to have their family here. The kids have had a ball playing together. We cooked waffles for breakfast and the plan was to let the kids have a few small snacks later so that they would be hungry for the big meal. Sweet Ben kept asking if the 'feast' was ready. Time after time the reply was, "Not yet". The turkey was taking longer than we had expected. So Ben and I sat in front of the stove and told Tom turkey that we all were very hungry and he needed to hurry up and make the timer pop out. Guess what? It worked. Within ten minutes, he was done. So we all gathered around the table and enjoyed the good food. I said to Ben, "How was the feast?" He looks and me and said, "What feast?" Cute little Ben.

Instead of rolls this year, I made a couple loaves of GF bread. I think it was the best batch I have made. The only thing missing today was the stuffing. All in all, I am very happy with the way the meal turned out.

It looks like you all had a fun time. Nice to see pictures of the cousins together. I bet they had a ton of fun.

It looks like everything was delicious, and the kids look real happy. It's too bad we couldn't be there this year!
Here's to next year....
