Summer Storms

My favorite actvity this summer has been the monsoon season, not for the humidity but for the AMAZING lightning storms. My sister Cozy has been my partner in adventure. We would get the kids in bed and then head out to the mesa and try to capture the beauty of Mother Nature. Tonight there was a double rainbow and I caught two very small strikes passing through it. The rest is just pure beauty! (These were taken by me).

David said...: Those are some awesome pictures! Lightning storms have always been interesting to me. When I lived in Clovis, NM we had some nice thunderstorms which were charged with lots of lightning bolts. Nicely capured!; August 23, 2010 at 11:48 PM

Innocence of a child....

Driving along the freeway in Lehi there is a new little amusement park called Liberty Land. They have a very large imitation of Mount Rushmore with the heads of the Presidents of the U.S. Sydney's see's it and says,"Hey, there's the Godhead!"

While passing through Farmington, NM, we saw a car graveyard. The cars were all lined up in rows and rows and more rows. Morgan says, "Hey, are those cars stuck in rush hour traffic?"

While reading how the Nephites and Laminites are always fighting, Sydney says, "How do you fought?"
