I can't believe a whole year has gone by since Uncle Eric was here for the Balloon Fiesta. This year he brought my cousin Melissa. We had a great visit. We got up so early on Friday and watched the launch of the special shape balloons. Then they have what is called the Honda key grab. They put up three very tall poles with keys to a brand new car attached to the top and the regular shaped balloons fly in from another location. They try to get close enough to the pole to grab the key. Unfortunately, the plans for the rest of the weekend for any other balloon event and soccer games was cancelled due to extreme wind and out of control hail storms.
This was the second year for the appearance of Darth Vador, but the first time I had seen him.
Nemo was another new one to me this year.
After the Balloon Fiesta, we drove Melissa by the Albuquerque Temple. Can't go there and not get a picture of the kids in front of the beautiful water fountain.
